State Line Restaurant

If I could give 6 stars to Atmosphere, I would! The retro diner aesthetic here is IMMACULATE. It was like being in Back to the Future, and to be clear, I mean that in the most positive way possible! The server told me that they spent a lot of time getting the atmosphere just right and it shows. And the food was amazing, as well! I ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich. When I order sandwiches like that, they can be hit or miss - I have bad teeth and so I'm more sensitive to tough/chewy food than others. But the sandwich I got was *perfect*. No tough parts, bun was nice and soft and warm. Their fries are just the right level of crispy, too! I look forward to coming here regularly. The only bad part about it is that apparently the wait time is extremely long during lunchtime, but when you have a meal here, it's easy to see why the place becomes so packed! Just visit outside of peak hours and you probably won't have too much trouble getting a seat.

The biscuits and gravy are so good, I mean SOOOO good!!! Had no idea what goetta was when I went here the first time but I am so glad I tried it. It's a really good price, too. There are not many restaurants I will eat leftovers from, but this is definitely one of them. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

My husband and I recently visited State Line Restaurant for the first time, and we were thoroughly impressed. He ordered the Big Freddy burger, while I chose the Mushroom and Swiss burger. Both were fantastic, but I have to say—the Mushroom and Swiss was the best I’ve ever had. Truly delicious! The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made our experience even more enjoyable. From the quality of the food to the warm hospitality, everything exceeded our expectations. We will absolutely be returning for another meal. Highly recommended!

Had the Everything Omelete and a slice of homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious. It was my first experience with goetta, and was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was excellent, and I loved the music that was playing over the speakers.

Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had in a restaurant. Biscuits were light, fluffy and HUGE!! The gravy was handmade - not served from a can. My sunny side up eggs were cooked to perfection. White cooked thoroughly yet yolk nice and runny!!

Great experience. I'm always in love with family and old restaurants; these are places where I get the best meatloaf. They are not disappointed; the food was excellent, and the corn and mac and cheese are great. The customer service was the cherry on top. Great vibe, and it's definitely a must-visit. Everyone was friendly, and cash would be a great option if you consider visiting.

No, wait, so I was greeted and seated as soon as I walked in the door. I love the decor, 50s style booths and tables. I definitely recommend running to State Line and giving this Mom and Pop diner your business! I'm coming back thru in a few days, and I'm gonna stop in and try some other dishes.

Great breakfast and service. Solid recommendation. That burger was unreal. I will be back. Bonus this is on the American Discovery Trail.
